Trawler Fest Warwick, RI

July 15, 2010 - July 17, 2010
Warwick, RI

The first Warwick, RI show proved to be a great new venue for the New England Trawler Fest July 15-17.  With 25 boats in the water and 22 land exhibitors, attendees were able to spend quality time speaking with New England marine professionals and immersing themselves in the extensive educational line-up. The unusual humidity and heat did not keep the nearly a thousand attendees away, who come from near and far.
Show highlights include:

  • The coveted PassageMaker People’s Choice Award was presented to Gratitude, a Kadey Krogen 48.
  • Ocean Navigator’s Longest Distance Traveled Award presented to Charles and Ellen Flood of Ft. Worth, TX.
  • The first-ever male to be crowned Queen of Trawler Fest Mardi Gras.
  • Disqualification of Team Wilde Bunch from trivia, again.

Special thanks to Shearwater, a Nordhavn 64 owned by Scott and Pamela Marks, Craig Parkhurst of SeaKits for use of his boat November, a Seaway 17, and to Gratitude, a Krogen 48 owned by Roberto and Maria Rosa, who all generously offered their boats for afternoon activities.
