When your GPS quits, you’ll pick up where you left off and continue to your destination. This is the skill certification used by United States Power Squadrons for their Coastal Certification program and will give you a head start should you consider pursuing this certification. Everyone gets a basic kit and copy of The Weekend Navigator, charts, dividers, and plotting tool and notes. You’ll get a chance to review coastal navigation techniques in the electronic age, have a little friendly competition between teams, get on the water and generally enjoy this two-day session while reinforcing your navigation skills.
