Fall of last year we announced that Outer Reef Yachts was manufacturing their yachts standard with the SeaKits' Marine Maintenance System (MMS) and it looks like Fleming is following suit. At the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Fleming announced MMS would be selected as a standard feature for their 2009 yachts. MMS spare parts and maintenance management solution is a fully integrated web-based management solution specifically developed for cruising yachts and workboats in the 40’ to 100’ range and is designed for owners who want to optimize the safety, reliability, performance, and value of their yacht.
The Sea Kits system includes support for all marine systems and equipment by make, model, S/N, and warranty status; spare parts recommendations for coastal and offshore cruising, including part name, make, and part number; maintenance recommendations including task description, schedule, procedure, special tools, and required parts; maintenance and work planning and scheduling; online parts ordering, and electronic documentation.
Tony Fleming, President of Fleming Yachts sees MMS as a customer-driven solution saying he first heard about SeaKits from a customer that purchased MMS direct. "Our customer convinced us to take a look and after seeing a demo we decided to include MMS as a standard feature on our entire 2009 production."
