DAvid Horst

Demonstrates the duration of the various signals and when they are used such as short blast, prolonged blast, and short rapid blasts using both sound (beeper for demonstration) and light as allowed in the rules. Demonstrates how light signals can be used along with the sound signals as allowed in the rules to increase vessel safety in all weather conditions. Gives the mariner some easy ways to remember the proper signals, and just as importantly understand the signals that you hear. Help to reduce the number of vessel to vessel collisions.
