Boater from age 8 (canoe camp in 1952) - Started Florida Bay Boat Company with the introduction of the March Hen (soon followed by the Mud Hen, Bay Hen, Peep Hen, etc.). Later built 8 of Jay Benford's Florida Bay Coaster and one of Chuck Neville's. Founding president of Krogen Express Yacht with the late James S. Krogen (his last design). Designed (with Lou Codega) the Great Harbour trawlers and brought them to market. Started Island Pilot and introduced the "Crossover Trawler" and the DSe Hybrid 12m (solar-wind-diesel-electric cruising cat).
