I am not some guy who used to sell refrigerators; I have had my captain's license for 34 years. In April of 2008 I earned the designation of Certified Professional Yacht Broker, a standard of peer review and testing to raise professionalism and standards in the yacht brokerage business. In Broward County Florida, there are more than 1100 licensed yacht brokers and salespeople, yet only 25 are Certified.

I have been active on this site for a couple of years now, adding some opinions and giving a bit of advice. I have been in the boat business most of my life, as a captain, yacht club manager, and in boat sales for around 12 years. I have run many different boats, both commercial and pleasure, with thousands of miles up and down the East Coast.

My office is located in Fort Lauderdale at Bradford Marine, the world's largest undercover yacht repair facility, but most of the boats I sell are to buyers from outside of Florida.
