Loved messing around on & in the water all my life.  Started with leaky packing case (in NZ) on farm dam - worked up through kayak, dinghy, (holding up sheet of plywood for a sail).  After medical school, (and making some money), and with young family, then got our first real boat, a 20 ft trailer yacht, (Tasman 20), then after 5 yrs, on to a maxi trailer yacht, (a Gazelle 26), the latter taken with us, using as a container as well in the process, when we moved to Brisbane, Australia in 1989.  We then briefly owned a Resort 35 diesel cruiser, and finally now have a Clipper 34 - known in US as the CHB 34, (not one of the latest models, known over here as the Clipper Evolution series), but a 1975 model, so I have had a lot of fun refurbishing it - still a work in progress to an extent, and always will be.  I'd be lost if I did not have some job on her lined up.
