Registration is now closed.
If you’re looking for the boat of your dreams, to connect with fellow cruisers, or are interested in expanding your nautical knowledge, Trawler Fest is the event you’re looking for. We are excited to announce that the S.S. John W. Brown, “Project Liberty Ship,” will serve as the primary training facility during Trawler Fest and Trawler Fest University.

Trawler Fest University Courses: Choice one of the two-day-long courses that are fact-filled and hands-on. These University courses (held two days prior to Trawler Fest) are designed to empower you with the skills you need to cruise safely and successfully.

The Seminars: Presented by experts in the marine industry and seasoned cruisers with experiences to share, learn the techniques to be a self-sufficient, well-informed boater, and familiarize yourself with new cruising grounds. All the seminars are educational, inspiring, and entertaining.

The Afternoon Demonstrations: Enjoy these informal, fun, and exciting afternoon activities. Be immersed in the exploration of nature, technical achievement, and adventure.

The Fun: Not only does Trawler Fest provide an endless amount of resources through seminars and exhibits but also encourages the social aspects of cruising. The event includes roundtable discussions, a Welcome Breakfast, lunches, a dinner, cocktail parties, and evening activities, all of which help grow the cruiser enthusiast community. Whether you are a novice or an experienced boater, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and share stories. Trawler Fest provides you an avenue to meet other cruisers, talk with professionals, and relax in a different boat show environment.

Trawler Fest University Course Program

Trawler Fest University courses are offered the two days prior to Trawler Fest on Sept. 24 and Sept. 25 from 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. These courses are two-days long and are rich in material. Prices and Packages

The Ultimate Trawler Fest Experience (University & Fest) – $700

Want to do the whole nine yards, and get the most out of Trawler Fest University and Trawler Fest?

This package includes: Trawler Fest University’s two-day courses, a certificate of completion, graduation cocktail party, lunch Tuesday and Wednesday, a Welcome Breakfast and presentation on Thursday, drink tickets and admission to Thursday and Saturday’s cocktail parties, dinner and drinks on Friday, your choice of eight seminars Thursday-Saturday, first priority to afternoon demonstrations and sponsored activities, four-day admission to the boat show, access to land exhibitors, free water and soda during show, eligibility for raffles and a Welcome Kit.

Trawler Fest University – $450

If you are looking for a more in-depth, hands-on training experience, then Trawler Fest University is the package for you. University courses are two days long, and smaller in size so students can get to know their instructors and classmates, while getting a one-on-one education.

This package includes: Your choice of one two-day Trawler Fest University course, a certificate of completion, graduation cocktail party, a Welcome Kit, lunch Tuesday and Wednesday, one-day admission to the boat show, access to land exhibitors, and afternoon demonstrations and sponsored activities. Also, receive discounted pricing on:

  • The Four-Day All-Inclusive Package – $250 (originally $300)
  • Two Seminars – $70 (originally $100)
  • One Seminar – $35 (originally $50)

Four-Day All-Inclusive Package – $300

Experience all the education, boats and social activities Trawler Fest has to offer combined into one package!

This package includes: a Welcome Breakfast and presentation on Thursday, drink tickets and admission to Thursday and Saturday’s cocktail parties, dinner and drinks on Friday, your choice of eight seminars Thursday-Saturday, first priority to afternoon demonstrations and sponsored activities, four-day admission to the boat show, access to land exhibitors, free water and soda during show, eligibility for raffles and a Welcome Kit.

Build Your Own Seminar Package – $50 per seminar

This package allows you to customize your own Trawler Fest experience. You can choose the number of seminars you would like to attend, and the option to add any or all social activities to your package.

This package includes: Seminars of your choice, admission to the boat show, access to land exhibitors, afternoon demonstrations and sponsored activities on the day of your seminars.

Select “a la carte” to build your own seminar package.

General Admission – $15 daily

Includes afternoon demonstrations, sponsored activities, admission to the boat show and access to land exhibitors.

Cancellation

There is a $50 event cancellation fee for those registered for the Ultimate Trawler Fest Experience Package, Trawler Fest University and the Three-Day All Inclusive Package. General Admission tickets and discounted packages are non–refundable.

Wednesday, September 25: University Graduation Reception

Come celebrate your Trawler Fest University course completion with your fellow classmates, students, and instructors. A certificate of completion will be awarded to each student.

Thursday, September 26: Welcome Breakfast

Kick off the beginning of Trawler Fest with coffee and a continental breakfast.
Price: $15 A La Carte or included as part of the Four-Day All-Inclusive Package

Thursday, September 26: Cocktail Reception

Join us for a night of socializing and dancing. Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served. Check back for more information.

Friday, September 27: Cocktail Party and Dinner

Take part in a chance to relax and mingle over cocktails and dinner onboard the luxury yacht, Chesapeake Charm.  Seating is very limited, so sign-up early!

Time: 5:30-8 p.m.

Saturday, September 28: Cocktail and Awards Reception

Join us for a night of cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, music, and raffles. The winners of the PassageMaker People’s Choice Award, Exhibitor Design Award, and the Ocean Navigator’s Longest Distance Award will be announced.
Price: $35 A La Carte or included as part of the Four-Day All-Inclusive Package

Driving Directions

Directions to HarborView Marina:

Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) is approximately 20 minutes away from the BMC HarborView Marina. Click here for directions, or view an interactive map here.

Directions to HarborView Marina Public Parking from the SOUTH:

Take I-95 N to Baltimore, and follow the signs to Downtown Baltimore, then take Exit I-395, and follow the signs to the Inner Harbor Downtown area. Turn right onto Conway Street, continue to Light Street and make a right (get in farthest left lane), follow to Key Highway and bear left . The parking lot will be on your left.

Directions to HarborView Marina Public Parking from the NORTH:

Take I-95 South to Baltimore, you will pass through the Fort McHenry Toll Facility, get in the far right line of the tunnel, take Key Highway (#55) Exit (will be immediately on your right after exiting the tunnel). The parking lot will be on your right.
