Aspen 38 Reaches New Heights
Washington-based powercat builder, Aspen, debuted their latest offering at the most recent TrawlerFest in Anacortes—a flybridge variation of their popular C111.
Aspen’s soon-to-debut C111 cruised up for her maiden voyage to TrawlerFest-Anacortes in May. Launching just a few days earlier, Larry Graf, owner and founder of Aspen, was eager to get attendees aboard despite having a few more last-minute items to install.
The 38-footer is a three-stateroom proa catamaran (featuring pontoons of unequal proportion), and sports two heads, a flying bridge, and an open galley/saloon/pilothouse arrangement with excellent comfort and visibility.
Aspens offer an efficient hull design that is historically proven by previous sizes in the range. Of particular note is the 32, which somewhat famously circumnavigated the 641-mile coastline of Vancouver Island without refueling.
