Eric and Christi Grab received their pennant recently for piloting their Nordhavn 43, Kosmos, 35,000 nm, most of which was accrued during a recent circumnavigation. The Grabs received their award in May during the Nordhavn Southwest Rendezvous at the company’s Dana Point, California, headquarters.
Nordhavn’s Becky Peters says she awarded 22 distance pennants during the event for a total of 367,000 nm. All these long-distance cruisers will have to keep going if they are to catch up with Wolfgang and Heidi Hass on the Nordhavn 46 Kanaloa. The Hasses are about to complete their third powerboat circumnavigation for a total of 100,000 nm, which does not include their first round-the-world voyage on a sailboat.
Peters says the company expects to log 5 million miles in the near future thanks to the meanderings of 336 participating in the program.
