A big day for the folks at the company's Clearwater, Florida, headquarters, the 76 fills a niche in the american trawler market by aiming to mix luxe, European styling with hardcore cruising-range and seaworthiness.
The construction of hull no. 1 of the latest addition to the Nordhavn fleet is almost finished and will be launched this spring.
The new model, dubbed the E6, will build on their line of semi-displacement, high-efficiency cruisers established by previous models, the E3 and E4, starting with their first launch in 1997.
Squarely aimed at combining luxury-at-sea with strong seagoing capabilities, the 76 directly replaces the previous 74, the original model in the Magellano lineup.
