BoatUS Chairman and Founder Richard Schwartz passed away last week after a short illness. He was 85. "No one did more for America’s recreational boaters than Schwartz," said BoatUS president Podlich in remembrance.
"Few people have careers that combine professional and personal passions. Bob Lane, 80, of Anacortes, was one of the lucky ones, whose passions for writing and boating intersected," wrote Christine Willmsen of the Seattle Times.
Darenberg, 64, ran the full-service marina and boatyard that his father, Carl Darenberg Sr., a charter boat captain, bought in 1955. Darenberg Jr. ran the business with his daughter, Courtney, his son, Chase, and a nephew, Chris.
Curt Merel Marsh, 64, of Hartsville, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly June 16, 2014. Curt was born June 28, 1949 in Greensburg, Indiana, to Gilfred and Janet Marsh.
