NOAA’s Office of Coast Survey is calling for cruisers to voice their opinions about and suggestions to improve their nautical products, services and data for boaters.
The survey, which NOAA says will take volunteers about 10 minutes to complete, asks boaters to categorize themselves are either professional mariners or recreational boaters. Any information provided by volunteers is private and will only be used by NOAA for statistical analysis.
“Strategy, Research & Action Inc., a company that specializes in research on charts and other navigation products, will provide Coast Survey with a statistical analysis of the responses,” wrote rear admiral Gerd F. Glang in an email. “The analysis will be conducted according to the specifications of the Market Research Society's Code of Conduct, which assures confidentiality to those participating in the survey.”
Those wishing to participate in the survey may do so by clicking here. The survey will be available until May 26, 2014.
