Six people were rescued for a sinking 46-foot yacht by Georgetown, Authorities late Tuesday night.
According to reports, the yacht strucka submerged object near Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, and began taking on water. Capt. Chuck Petrella of Murrells Inlet-Garden City Fire and Rescue told The State Newspaper that crews from the department, the Coast Guard and TowBoatUS responded to the call.
The boat was found taking on water and soon sank in seven feet of water. No injuries were reported after the accident.
Authorities report the sunken yacht will remain there until it is best determined how to salvage the vessel.
