A Beneteau Swift Trawler 47 tackles its "proving grounds" with a bold offshore passage from Seattle to San Diego.

Known for making a splash with its Swift Trawler line through epic voyages, such as “The Greatest Loop” seven years ago, Beneteau has embarked on its latest jaunt—the "Swift Pacific Adventure," an offshore passage from Seattle to San Diego being completed by friends of Team Beneteau and select members of the media.

Not on board? No problem. You can track every leg of the journey through an interactive map, real-time photos, videos and a live captain’s log regularly updated by the crew along the way at a special website dedicated to the voyage

Despite less-than-ideal cruising conditions at times so far along the thousand-plus-mile “proving grounds," the Swift Trawler 47 is boldly going where many boats might normally lay up, and by all accounts the crew is being duly rewarded by Mother Nature with whale sightings and sweeping views of the picturesque rain forests and rocky shores of the Pacific Northwest.

The Swift Trawler 47 is the latest launch from the Beneteau Group shipyards. She is the product of more than 135 years of boatbuilding experience in addition to the owner feedback received from more than 1,000 Swift Trawlers in use today, according to the builder. The voyage is projected to conclude with an official welcome celebration in San Diego, California, on May 31.
