The Moorings has announced a video contest via their Facebook page calling for anyone with a videocamera to share what they love about being on the water.
Partnered with the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, the contest gives participants a chance to win a grand prize of $2,500 towards a charter vacation with The Moorings.
In their videos, participants are encouraged to tell the world what time on the water means to them. Videos can be short, long, silly or serious—“The more imaginative, the better,” according to contest rules.
“Whether it’s fishing, surfing, sailing, snorkeling or preserving the environment, love for the sea comes in all different forms,” said Shannan Brennan, Head of Global Marketing for The Moorings. “By expressing how we each appreciate this vast part of our planet, we can share in a common passion for the sea—while, of course, having some fun in the process too.”
To participate, individuals are asked to post their homemade videos to The Moorings’ Facebook page at facebook.com/themooringsvacations and include the hashtag #SeaTheLove.
The contest, which opened February 12, runs until April 30, 2015 and is available to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia or of Canada (excluding Quebec) who are 18 years or older. Videos will be judged based on Creativity (50%) Video quality (25%) and Composition (25%) with a winner announced by June 15, 2015.
