Take a tour ofBering Yacht's most recent launch with "trawler-specialist" yacht broker Jeff Merrill.
Constructed at company's yard in Zhangjiang, China, Serge is hull number 2 in the Berings's 65-foot expedition range and is ideally suited for long-range cruising in open waters.
Designed with an all-steel displacement hull, the Bering 65 has an estimated range of 5,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 6 to 7 knots and features a raised pilothouse and, in Serge's case, twin Cummins QSL engines.
In the 6-minute tour above, Merrill, who also serves as president of the California Yacht Brokers Association (CYBA), covers both interior and exterior spaces as well as Bering's extreme sea-going capabilities.
Serge features three staterooms with en suite heads, a full Furuno electronics suite, and a Seakeeper gyro. In addition to the owners suites, there is also a crew quarters suitable for two. Prior to being delivered, Serge underwent several days of sea trials in the South China Sea to ensure all her systems were up to par. Scroll below the break to see footage of Serge in action.
