TrawlerFest, our cruiser-centric event series, is hitting the Pacific Northwest in mid May for the second stop of 2015.
Taking over the Cap Sante Marina in downtown Anacortes, Washington, May 12 through 17, the revamped TrawlerFest-Anacortes will feature the new "Team-based approach" to cruising seminars that has proved successful in earlier stops in Baltimore, Maryland, and Riviera Beach, Florida.
"Beginning last fall, we decided to 'reinvent' TrawlerFest, and I was asked to devise the seminars and choose speakers," says Peter Swanson. "We had come to believe our seminar series had become stale and reasoned that these kinds of decisions should be made by someone with cruising as well as editorial experience, as opposed to marketing or events staff."
The solution thus far has proved to be the new approach, which features a team-taught diesel engine course that covers to days of in-depth and hands-on training.
Several other courses will feature this new approach including several of our signature offerings such as:
- EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT DIESEL ENGINES
- THE GREAT LOOP FOR WEST COAST CRUISERS
- EMERGENCIES AT SEA
- BOAT BUYER’S SURVIVAL GUIDE
- HANDS-ON POWERBOAT HANDLING
