New Boat: Vicem 82
Turkey’s Vicem Yachts said it has delivered its first, 82-foot custom cold-molded “superyacht” to a repeat client.
The boat is a classically designed, tri-deck vessel in the style of a Downeast flybridge cruiser, with a layout that takes full advantage of its 20-foot, 4-inch beam.
The one-level main salon, accessed from the aft cockpit through double sliding doors, offers myriad seating configurations and copious room for large gatherings.
Below decks are three large staterooms, two of which have walkaround, queen-size berths; all have en suite heads with showers. Fully equipped crew quarters are aft, with private access to the engine room, and a full electronics suite for vessel monitoring capabilities.
Premium joinery, which has become synonymous with Vicem, is featured throughout the vessel. The 82’s interior is replete with book-matched mahogany.
The yacht is powered by a pair of 900-hp Volvo Penta D13 diesel inboards. According to the builder, the 82 reaches a top speed of 17.8 knots will cruise at 15 knots.
Range is projected to exceed 1,100 nautical miles at 9 knots. The hard-chine, semi-displacement hull is constructed of cold-molded mahogany.
