Now in its 28th year of operation, Yachts Miami Beach opens its doors to visitors today and will continue through the holiday weekend.
Formerly known as the Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show, Yachts Miami Beach features a fresh new name and a serious chunk of real estate, occupying a mile-plus-long strip of the Indian Creek Waterway on Collins Avenue from 41st to 54th street. Perhaps even more attractive to visitors, this part of the boat show is offered for free.
"There's no better place than Miami Beach for yacht builders to present their new designs to a sophisticated global audience," said Dane Graziano, Chief Operating Officer for Show Management, the company that produces Yachts Miami Beach and co-owns the show with the Florida Yacht Brokers Association.
This year's event will showcase a smorgasbord of world debuts spanning a wide range of styles from countries across the globe. A few noteworthy power-cruiser debuts include:
- From England: Princess S68
- From Malaysia: Grand Banks 44 East Bay SX
- From Spain: Astonda Century 110
The international fare, coupled with being the first major show of the year continues to be Miami's largest attraction to boat buyers, yachtsmen, and enthusiasts.
"International buyers love Miami Beach," Graziano said. "It's one of the top trendsetting destinations in the world and people who love luxury and style feel comfortable here."
In addition to the more than 1.2 million square feet of in-water boats on Collins Ave, Yachts Miami Beach is offering its first-ever VIP package. For $350 per person, per day, VIPs will be treated to exclusive valet parking right on Collins Avenue as well as private tender service that will shuttle VIPs from the show to a dedicated VIP lounge at the Ritz-Carlton Residences. The lounge at the Ritz will also provide a concierge who will help VIPs arrange personal yacht tours and other conveniences.
The shows run through the 15th, though the VIP package is only available for the first three days.
