PassageMaker’s stand-alone Trawlerfest series for trawler and cruising enthusiasts returns to Baltimore's Inner Harbor September 29 to October 3, 2021.
Trawlerfest Baltimore will host an impressive in-water selection of new and pre-owned trawlers, long-range cruisers and coastal cruisers, and first-class education and demonstrations.
Not only is the event location a winner—Harbor East Marina and nearby Hilton and Marriott hotels for the seminars—but the sheer quantity of things to do within walking distance is astonishing and surprisingly on topic, given the maritime heritage of the Fells Point neighborhood, a couple blocks down the road
You can hone your nautical skills in the morning, walk the docks in the afternoon and then retreat for cocktails at the bar where Edgar Allen Poe quaffed his last (before croaking like a raven). The name of Poe’s last tavern, by the way, is The Horse You Came in On. For dinner, there are all sorts of ethnic and seafood choices, including Duck Duck Goose and the “world famous” Bertha’s Mussels, whose reputation first spread via bumper sticker.
Late September- early October is weatherwise probably the most comfortable time of year to walk these waterfront streets with high temperatures averaging in the low 70s.
Mark your calendars and stand by for more information about boats, seminars and our rendezvous-style nightlife schedule. This is third year for Trawlerfest in Baltimore, brought to you by the same people that publish Passagemaker magazine.
