Trawlerfest Returns to In-Person Events. First Stop: Newport, RI

Calling all long-range cruisers and trawler nuts! It’s time to get back on the docks.

Mark your calendars. In-person Trawlerfest events, presented by Passagemaker, are officially back, starting in an exciting all-new location: Newport, Rhode Island, August 24-28, 2021.

The Trawlerfest Events Team is excited to bring your favorite boat show and seminar series to Newport, a historic town deeply rooted in maritime tradition. With New England being such a popular destination for summer cruising, we have always felt that Newport was a natural fit for a summer Trawlerfest location. Plus, you can’t beat the late-season weather in Newport—and we hear the chowder’s pretty good, too.

“We’re already anticipating a full show, with a wide variety of trawlers and coastal cruisers (plus new boat debuts) on display, a refreshed seminar series, and safe social gatherings in accordance with CDC guidelines,” said event organizer Donna Aschheim.

While Newport Shipyard plays host to the in-water boat show August 26-28, our ever-popular seminar series will take place right across the street at the Newport Marriott, August 24-28.

So, make sure to include New England in your 2021 summer cruising plans, and we look forward to seeing you on the docks in beautiful Newport harbor in a few months!
